Ken Gustafson

Piano Specialist · 25+ years experience
Ken was exposed to jazz piano at an early age, inspired by jazz piano giants like Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson. At 9, he toured throughout Europe, and by 15, he began playing piano professionally with several ensembles. In high school, he was the only pianist from Florida selected for the All-State Jazz Band. Later, Ken earned his bachelor's degree in musical studies from the University of Miami and his master's degree from UCF. Over the years, Ken also performed limited engagements with Shakira, Ben E. King, and Connie Francis, along with several local artists and bands. In 1996, he was hired by "Howl at the Moon" to be an entertainer in their all-request, multi-genre, dueling piano, live entertainment format. He quickly rose to the level of Entertainment Director for the company and added drums, bass, acoustic, and electric guitar to his already impressive skill set. He then went on to become an instructor and a professor at various esteemed institutions, including the University of Central Florida. In 2019, he became the Musical Director at the Joey Fatone and Friends Show.
