This course provides a comprehensive exploration of music theory and practical piano techniques centered around the foundational C Major scale. Additionally, students will expand their musical vocabulary by exploring melodic and harmonic minor scales, diatonic chords, and improvisation techniques, fostering creative expression in composition and performance.

In this course, students will be introduced to the art of improvisation, starting with foundational concepts such as rhythm, hand positioning, and practice techniques. They will learn to develop their improvisational skills through exploring various scales, including the pentatonic and blues scales, and incorporating rhythmic ideas into their playing.
