J.J. Pattishall
Born and raised in a musical household in Central Florida, with talented musicians jamming in his living room, J.J. has dedicated his life to the pursuit of sonic expression. He holds a B.A. in Music from Rollins College in Orlando, where he now serves as an adjunct professor of Contemporary Guitar Studies.
He has learned under the tutelage of guitar maestros Michael Walker and Bobby Koelble, both instructors for Torrins.com. Throughout his musical career, J.J. has been very fortunate to study and perform with some of the top musicians in his area, who have been instrumental in helping him further his development as an artist. J.J. is a talented and dynamic individual with a sound of his own, for whom "simply playing" is not as important as going to the "roots" of the piece you’re playing. One of the core principles of J.J.'s teaching philosophy is to show students that music is more than just a passion; it's a way of life! To date, many of J.J.'s studies delve deep into the interrelationship of music with nature and humanity.
