Forest Rodgers
30 Years experience in Guitar, Banjo, Dobro (Round Neck), Mandolin
Biography: Forest is a multi-faceted musician, accomplished in a number of string instruments including the Banjo, Dobro and the Mandolin. Besides incredible guitar-solo, Forest Rodgers leads the band and plays banjo with The Cheyenne Stampede, which was a regular at the Cheyenne Saloon & Opera House in Orlando, FL from 1984 to 1998. During this time, he was widely featured on The Nashville Network (TNN)'s Program- Church Street Station; Nashville Now with Ralph Emory; and the Citrus Bowl Half Time Show on CBS network. The band also won the 1991 True Value/GMC Truck National Country Showdown at Nashville TN, hosted by Willie Nelson & Kris Kristofferson.
During his career, Rodgers has performed with various artists including Jim Stafford, Hank Thompson, Wilburn Brothers, Gordon Payne, among others. He's featured in numerous books such as - The Best Jobs in the Music Industry (by Michael Redman, Hal Leonard Publications), Working Musicians (by Deems-Taylor Award Winner Bruce Pollock, Harper Entertainment, 2002). He's also authored the widely acclaimed instructional DVD & Book, Pedal Steel Licks for Guitar (Centerstream/Hal Leonard Forest is an ASCAP member and an endorsed artist for a number of musical instrument companies including SIT Strings, EMG Pickups, Seymour Duncan, and G&L Guitar. He currently plays guitar & Banjo with RNCC Villages Band, Family Christian Center- Live Clermont, Disney World and the Garden Music School. Among his favorite tools are a Tele with Joe Glaser B-bender, a 1954 Tele, a 63 Strat
and a Takamine guitar.
