Biography: Matthew is a well-known professional bass guitarist in the Florida circuit. He's been a bass instructor since 1990 and has numerous achievements to his credit. Matt was featured on the Conan O'Brien Show as well as the Montreal Jazz and Blues Festival in 95-96 as part of Sony recording artist Poppa Chubby, a blues rock trio. From '96 to '06, he was involved with UMOJA, an Afro/World Beat Ensemble fronted by Eugene Snowden of the Legendary JCs. In the early part of 2000s, he was also involved with Florganism, an experimental funk/rock band.

Matt is a sought-after bass guitarist and plays regularly with various bands. As a member of the soul/funk/R&B band - KOW!, Matt won the Orlando Weekly Music Award for Best Soul/Funk/R&B band and Best Live Act and was featured as a cover story for the Orlando Weekly in 1997. Playing with KOW! Matt has shared the stage with the likes of James Brown and The Funky Meters. Since 2002, he's been the bass guitarist for Terri Binion & The Bible Belt Orphans, a Roots Country/ Americana project. His weekly performances with another Jazz Fusion group, Absinthe Trio, have won numerous accolades. Matt's also a member of Shak Nasti, a Jazz/Funk/ Rock collaboration that is very active at Music and Art Festivals, notably headlining with Bobby Lee Rodgers at the 4th Annual Spring Jambando Concert in April 2009. Shak Nasti also won the 2005 CD of the Year by a Band in the Deland Singers/Songwriters Association for their cd titled From the Belly.
