Bilal Khan

10 Years experience in Pop, Rhythm, Acoustic

Bilal Khan is an up and coming phenom in the world of South Asian music. Bilal started playing guitar at age 16 and as a teenager he was inspired by ?Sufi Rock? bands Junoon and Noori. He first came into public spotlight with his song Bachana that he recorded at home and circulated on YouTube. His video soon became a success, earning him the Best Song of 2010 in the South Asian circuit. In the following year, Bilal broke onto the mainstream music scene with a debut on Pakistan?s Coke Studio Season 4, which featured his original compositions Lamha and Tou Kia Hua. Both these songs from his debut album Umeed became part of the Top 5 most popular songs in Coke Studio?s history. Alongside penning his own lyrics and performing on tours, Bilal recently recorded a cover of musical legend Alamgir?s compositions.

Bilal is also an accomplished actor, having starred in several South Asian television gigs, films and is the Brand Ambassador for Levi?s Jeans. However, Bilal is pretty sure about his calling in music. He is inspired by John Mayer?s music style, who he credits for influencing his rhythmic schemes and song writing. Bilal brings his own signature style to playing acoustic guitar in his various songs. His unique finger picking, hammerons and soulful melodies exemplify his improvisation skills as a guitarist and raw talent as a creative musician. Besides actively touring and performing around the world, Bilal is currently working on his second album.
